Metalwork - Projects - Number 2 KeyringThis project is part of the Year Keyring sequence. The idea is that each year group has a Keyring specifically for the year it is in. The Keyring is designed to be more challenging the higher the year group but still not a major task to complete. The Year 2 Keyring concentrates on sharp corners and edges while also introducing tangency. A knowledge of how to construct a tangent is necessary here although with a bit of care it can be done adequately freehand. I used to make this from Brass or Aluminium but found them to be quite big and heavy so I've switched to Polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is a better choice than Acrylic as inexperienced users tend to crack or break Acrylic quite easily. Parts List
